The visa is a 5-year temporary visa, and upon establishing ownership in an Australia business, applicant can apply for permanent residency under the business innovation & investment ( Residence ) Subclass 888 visa
Visa Criteria:
>Business ownership with a minimum turnover of AUD 750,000 for at least 2 of the last 4 fiscal years
>Net personal and business assets totaling at least AUD 1,250,000
>Age under 55, unless the nominating state or territory certifies exceptional economic benefit
>Pass the Business Innovation and Investment Points test (currently requiring 65 points)
>Demonstrate a successful career in business
State/Territory Nomination:
>This visa requires nomination by an Australian State or Territory government through the SkillSelect system.
Eligibility for Permanent Residence:
To qualify for permanent residency, applicants must meet the following criteria:

>Achieved an annual turnover of at least $300,000 in the last 12 months before applying

>Only available to applicants nominated by an Australian State or Territory government, requiring the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Skill Select system.

>To qualify for permanent residence, applicants must have been in Australia on the subclass 188B visa for at least 3 years within the 5 years prior to application
